The FSA' s Latest CBD Announcement

The FSA' s Latest CBD Announcement

Following the recent announcement from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) regarding the safety and regulations of CBD products, we have put together a short FAQ, so you can see exactly what this new ruling could mean for you.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has set a deadline of 31st March 2021 to submit any valid novel food authorisation applications.

Only products which have submitted a valid application by this time will be allowed to remain on the market. This deadline will give companies over one year to ensure that they comply with the new regulations. This applies to any consumable CBD product.

This is great for customers and genuine businesses alike, as testing through the relevant channels will ensure product safety. It will also mean that the products must be labelled correctly and do not contain substances which fall under drug legislation.

This in turn guarantees that only quality CBD products will be available on the market, and will deem low-grade, non-compliant products to be illegal. This protects public health and insures that sellers are covered for any health claims.

We have always believed that the CBD industry needed more strict regulation and guidelines for products. As we work with some of the most trusted and reliable manufacturers, most of the brands on our platform have already submitted their applications and are fully aware of the new ruling.

Vape Cloud UK not only has the widest and most unique variety available anywhere online, but we also ensure that our products meet the highest standards, by only working with the most trusted and respected manufacturers worldwide.
