Now’s The Time To Quit Smoking!
There’s no bad time to ditch the cigs for good, but a global health pandemic involving a respiratory virus that affects your lungs is, perhaps, one of the better times to think about quitting smoking for good.
Of course, it can be a lot easier said than done to turn your back on cigarettes, especially if you’ve been smoking for a long time - but there is one way to help yourself quit and quit for good, and that’s turning to ecigarettes to help you bridge the gap and wean you off the nicotine slowly, instead of going cold turkey.
In September 2019, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) revealed that the proportion of vapers who used to smoke cigarettes is on the rise, reaching 54.1 per cent… and the main reason they gave for using ecigs was to help them quit, followed by preventing a relapse back to smoking.
Further research from ASH, published back in July of this year, found that a million people have actually successfully stopped smoking since the pandemic, while another 440,000 smokers have at least tried to quit since the crisis hit!
Quitting can be really difficult and there’s absolutely no shame whatsoever in turning to quitting aids to help you achieve your goals, whether that’s ecigs, nicotine patches, gum or something like hypnotherapy. Anything that helps you give yourself a health boost, particularly at the moment, is definitely a step in the right direction - so keep up the good work!
